Basingstoke-based InstaVolt has appointed renewable sector expert Lily Coles as its new Hub Development Director.
Lily will be charged with driving forward the rapid electric vehicle charger network’s plans to build Super Hubs around the UK, working towards a target of installing 10,000 chargers by 2030.
She starts her new role following a piece of recent success for the company, with Instavolt having recently launched its first international site and submitted plans to build the largest EV Super Hub in the UK, located north of Winchester.
Lily Coles said: “Joining InstaVolt is a superb opportunity especially at this exciting time. I am looking forward to bringing together my experience of planning and negotiating with landowners and the National Grid to ensure we deliver the most reliable and accessible Super Hubs across the UK.”
A key addition to InstaVolt’s senior management team, Lily brings more than 15 years of experience in the renewable sector.
Her previous role was New Energy Director at SMS plc, where she was focused on the origination, appraisal, execution and management of renewable energy investments.
Before SMS, Lily was part of the senior management of energy efficiency firm Anesco, with roles including Technical Services Director and Commercial Director, leading her team to overcome a number of complex challenges.
“Lily’s appointment marks a significant step forward in developing our Super Hub programme and highlights our commitment to expanding the UK’s rapid charging infrastructure on the strategic road network,” explained Adrian Keen, InstaVolt’s CEO.
“Lily’s wealth of experience in the renewal sector will be invaluable as we implement the next stage of our plans for growth.”
He added: “Winchester is the first of a number of InstaVolt Super Hubs and with a class leading reliability of 99.9%, EV drivers can be confident that when they arrive, they’ll find an easy-to-use charger, with on-site amenities to not only recharge your car but recharge yourself with a coffee or a bite to eat.”
