With demand for solar power, battery storage, and EV charging solutions ever on the rise, UPOWA is looking to cement its recent growth with the appointment of managing director Paul Terry.
Paul brings to his new role more than 24 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry delivering a range of products and solutions.
Having previously held leadership roles at Mark Group, Mitie, and Knauf, Paul served most recently as managing director of Roofspace Solutions, where he and the team transformed the business into a market-leading delivery partner for developers.
His arrival has been welcomed by sales director James Bull, who founded UPOWA in 2008 to provide sustainable tech products and services before overseeing its acquisition by Brickability Group plc in 2021.
Paul said: “It’s an exciting time to join UPOWA, one of the UK’s leading sustainable technology specialists.
“The team has been excellent, ensuring a seamless transition so I could hit the ground running and begin steering the business on our new growth journey.
“With a defined strategy in place, we are well positioned to meet the growing demand for our solutions.
“I’m looking forward to working alongside James and our brilliant team to deliver the highest-quality products and service to customers across the housebuilding, construction and commercial sectors.”
That ‘new growth journey’ involves a series of newly forged long-term solar PV supply agreements with Barratt Developments, Taylor Wimpey, and Redrow, as UPOWA gears up to install thousands of solar panels across the country.
James Bull added: “I am delighted that Paul has joined UPOWA to help scale the business in line with our exciting growth plans.
“His track record speaks for itself and is highly respected across the housebuilding industry.
“With Paul’s leadership and commitment to quality and safety, we are prepared and ready to support our clients with all their sustainability needs.”
