The Peter Cooper Motor Group is celebrating its 30-year association with Hampshire Cricket.
The partnership with the club goes back far enough that when the association started Hampshire Cricket was based on Northlands Road in Southampton, continuing when they moved to updated facilities in West End more than 20 years ago.
Their association sees Peter Cooper providing a number of vehicles for the Hampshire Cricket Men’s first team, while the motor group is advertised at the stadium and its customers enjoy hospitality.
It’s part of a wider commitment to Hampshire and Sussex sports with the Peter Cooper Motor Group supporting local and professional clubs in football, golf, cricket and rugby as well as a wide range of community groups.
Darren Cooper said: “It’s an amazing milestone in business and recognises Hampshire Cricket mirroring our brand positioning for being fantastic family value.
“Our long-standing relationship and loyalty with the club is due to our alignment of key values and we look forward to working with the club for many more years to come.”
Darren added: “Through our Foundation, The Peter Cooper Motor Group has always supported community sports groups and charities across the south coast where we can.
“We believe that it’s increasingly important for local businesses and communities to work together, supporting local interests for the benefit of all within it.
“The Ageas Bowl and Hampshire Cricket are highly valued partners of ours, supporting each other to make a difference locally.”
Chairman of the Ageas Bowl, Rod Bransgrove, said: “This is an incredible milestone and The Peter Cooper Motor Group has been a valued partner of Hampshire Cricket for many years.
“We look forward to welcoming its customers this season and continuing to work together to provide fun, family experiences for all Hampshire fans.”
The pearl anniversary comes in the same year the motor group acquired Viking Garages Kia in the West End, adding Kia to its portfolio of brands.
