Trethowans have announced their partnership with ABP Southampton Marathon next April, with several of the team set to lace up and take part in the big event.
They’ll join around 8,000 runners participating across the full marathon, half marathon, 10k, 5k and fun run, with everyone from first timers and charity fundraisers to club runners and hopeful record-breakers getting involved.
Mike Watson, Managing Partner at Trethowans, said: “We’re excited to partner with Rees Leisure and the ABP Southampton Marathon.
“It’s bound to be a great day and a chance for runners (and non-runners!) from all over to take on various distances and challenge themselves.
“Several members of our team have already signed up to take part. We’ll be there to cheer them on and hope to raise lots of funds for our chosen charities.”
Earlier this year the firm fielded 11 of their own runners, who together managed to raise £3,000 for local hospice charity Mountbatten Hampshire – and they’re hoping to do the same again in 2024.
Race Director Chris Rees added: “We’re delighted to be working with Trethowans towards the ABP Southampton Marathon.
“It’s great to have the support of a local firm with a leading presence in the South.
“We look forward to further developing our relationship with Trethowans and seeing their team of runners back next April!”
Registration for the event, which takes place on Sunday 7th April, is now open to people of all abilities.
