A New Forest hotel, once a hunting lodge for King Charles II, will once again open its doors to visitors this April following extensive renovation works.
New Park Manor, just outside Brockenhurst, is one of five Luxury Family Hotels – a collection of family-focused properties across the South.
All 25 rooms at the site are undergoing work, as well as public areas – including The Vinery and Stag restaurants, an expansive family-friendly spa, and facilities like the Ofsted-registered Four Bears Den children’s club.
StudioJill is leading the design, having also worked with Luxury Family Hotels on Fowey Hall in Cornwall and Moonfleet Manor in Dorset.
Inspired by the forest, the rooms will reportedly feature a mix of textured fabrics and patterned wallpaper and incorporate a playful use of nooks and secret spaces.
Throughout the property’s design, guests will also notice a nod to Alice in Wonderland.
Meanwhile, the family-friendly spa which caters for children as young as three will emulate clean, Scandi-inspired design.
Luxury Family Hotels also run Woolley Grange, a secluded Jacobean manor house on the edge of historic town Bradford-on-Avon, as well as The Ickworth, which sits within a 1,800-acre National Trust estate in Suffolk.
