As Rory McIlroy and Robert MacIntyre battled it out at the Scottish Open last weekend, event sponsors Genesis were holding a signing ceremony for their new UK retail partner, Hendy Group.
Having made its first foray into the UK market just over two years ago, Genesis – a Korean brand – is now looking to expand its offering across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, and West Sussex.
Paul Hendy, Chief Executive of the family-run and Chandler’s Ford-based Hendy Group, hailed the move as a key milestone for the business as they look to build upon their experience in the performance and luxury market.
He said: “Genesis has a commitment to personalised hospitality and customer service excellence which aligns perfectly with our values.
“Being part of the Genesis journey in the UK is exciting for us as a company and we look forward to being part of the story as it unfolds.”
As retail partner, Hendy Group is set to support Genesis’s expansion plans, growing their capacity for test drives, sales, and service operations.
This will centre around the new Genesis studio in Poole, due to open its doors in early 2024.
Managing Director Lawrence Hamilton added: “This is an exciting milestone for Genesis in the UK.
“Earlier this year, we announced we would be expanding the Genesis footprint, and we are delighted to have Hendy on board which shares our vision for the future.
“With Hendy now officially part of the Genesis family, it means we can deliver our unique Korean customer service directly to our new and existing customers from the Poole studio.”
Key to that service is a commitment to treat all Genesis customers as ‘son-nim’, or guests of honour, to reflect their Korean roots.
It’s a natural fit for Hendy Group, who already count Maserati, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Lotus among their luxury motoring clients.
