Farnborough Aerospace Consortium has welcomed 28 new members over the past year as the sector continues to recover post-pandemic.
The organisation works both within and beyond Hampshire, representing hundreds of companies in aerospace, aviation, defence and space across the South and South East.
Their role in fostering cooperation and collaboration has proven crucial for industries looking to return to 2020 levels.
Alan Fisher, CEO of FAC, said: “This country is world-leading when it comes to aerospace, and we’re determined to keep it that way.
“Our growing membership understands that we’re able to assist in winning business for them and getting SMEs access to the big multinational players.
“We’ve taken members abroad to the US and other countries to meet businesses and organisations, and this has proved extremely productive.
“At the last Farnborough Air Show we signed several ‘memoranda of understanding’ with foreign organisations like ours and these have proved fruitful.”
New members this year include Allmatics (BTC World Ltd), South West Metal Finishing, Valuechain, Resilient Edge and Cre8tive Space Ltd.
“While most of our members are based in the South and South East, we have others from around the country and overseas”, added Alan.
“FAC has gained 28 new members this year, and there’s a gathering momentum that we anticipate will lead to great strides being made in 2024.
“Net zero, cleaner fuels and new legislation will make next year a busy one for the sector.”
