Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. The “Hampshire Business News Newsletter Signup” prize draw (the “Prize Draw”) is open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over.
2. The Prize Draw is not open to:
   a) employees or agencies of Black Ox Media & Events Limited (“Black Ox”, the “Promoter” or “us”) or its group companies;
   b) freelance contributors to Black Ox; or
   c) anyone else connected with the Prize Draw including family members of any of the persons referred to in paragraphs a. – b., above.
3. Entrants into the Prize Draw shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
4. To enter the Prize Draw you must provide your name, email address, phone number & company name HERE– https://hampshirebiznews.co.uk/newsletter. No purchase is necessary.
5. Only one entry is allowed per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. You are responsible for the cost (if any) of sending your Prize Draw entry to us. The winners shall be the owners of the email addresses from which the selected winning entries are sent.
6. Black Ox accepts no responsibility for entries which are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by Black Ox
7. The Prize Draw will close at 23:59 on 31st May 2023. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

Picking the winners

8. 1 winner(s) will be selected, using the process set out below:
   a) The Winner will be selected by way of a random draw. The draw will be performed by a random computer process.
   b) The winner will be notified of their successful entry by phone or by email. 
9. The selection process set out in paragraph 9 above will take place on or after the competition end date published (7)
10. In the case where a winner has not responded and accepted the prize, the Organiser reserves the right to make the original winners application null and void and to pick a new winner at random. 

The Prizes

11. There will be 1 winner, selected using the process set out in paragraph 9. The winner will receive:
    a) A SONOS Era 100 Speaker

The Promoter is not responsible for any costs (such as travel or accommodation) which the winners incur in relation to the enjoyment of these prizes.

12. The winners will be notified by e-mail or phone within seven (7) days of the closing date and be given details of how to claim the prize. If a winner does not respond to Black Ox within five (5) days of being notified of their win, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Black Ox shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within five (5) days of being notified or else they will also forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Black Ox shall be entitled to select another winner.
13. The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
14. Black Ox reserves the right to substitute the prizes with other prizes of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.

Some other rules

15. The surname and county of residence of the winners can be obtained fourteen (14) days after the closing date by sending a stamped address envelope to the following address: Competition & Prize Draw Team, Black Ox Limited, Surrey Research Park, Surrey Technology Centre, 40 Occam Road, Guildford, Surrey GU2 7YG. Please include details of which competition or prize draw name
16. The winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Prize Draw and the winners shall participate in such activity on the Promoter’s reasonable request.
17. The Promoter shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at www.thebusinessmagazine.co.uk and in accordance with data protection legislation. By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Prize Draw entry, and for the purpose outlined in paragraph 14 above. If you do not wish your surname and/or county of residence to be made available for this purpose then please notify us by no later than 2 July 2020 by sending an email to [email protected] with “Prize Draw data exclusion” in the subject line.
18. Black Oxaccepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting the prizes. Black Ox further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Prize Draw. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of Black Ox under law fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
19. Black Ox reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify 

or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Black Ox in all matters relating to the Prize Draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

20. Black Ox shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Prize Draw where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
21. The Prize Draw and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
