Redevelopment works on the boatshed at Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour, where the New Forest meets the Solent, are coming along.

Buckler's Hard logoThe £2 million development will feature waterfront offices, meeting rooms, workshop units and new boat refit facilities, which will be available to rent from late Spring 2025.

Notes of interest are now being taken for the new offices and workshops, with preference given to tenants who provide value-added services for boat owners.

“We’re excited to see the boatshed building taking shape and starting to see how the impressive facilities will look,” said harbour master Wendy Stowe.

The steel framework adaptations and the roof have now been completed ahead of the final external building work in the new year.

The work is then set to move inside.

Buckler’s Hard was recently ranked as one of the UK’s best marinas, placing in the top five per cent of The Yacht Harbour Association’s 5 Gold Anchors winners.

It offers 200 walk-ashore pontoon berths and 300 river moorings, with more than 10,000 visitors staying there each year.

Letting terms for the new boatshed are available on application and include parking, a communal kitchen, electricity and Wi-Fi.

Meanwhile, the yacht harbour team has moved to a temporary reception in the boatyard, while a more limited chandlery has opened for the duration of the seven-month project.
