The southern region of housebuilder Bloor Homes has returned to its Berewood development in Waterlooville with a donation to support a Coronation picnic and fete for residents.

The money was given to Newlands Community Group to stage the celebrations at Berewood Town Park and will also help to pay for further events to be held throughout the year.

The Coronation weekend featured games, stalls, traditional school sports day races such as the

egg and spoon, an events arena and even a British Bake-Off competition.

Lucy Reynolds, sales director at Bloor Homes’ southern region, said: “Having built at Berewood in 2015, we are delighted to be back in the community and when Newlands Community Group approached us for support there was no hesitation.”

“It’s great to see the community thriving in Waterlooville and we’re really glad to be part of it again.”
